Oleg Ildyukov is a graphics master, whose work is inextricably linked with the architectural and cultural code of Saint Petersburg. A graduate of the Faculty of Architecture of the Saint Petersburg Repin Academy of Arts, he skillfully combines academic rigor of the line with the metaphysical depth of the image.
Member of the Saint Petersburg Union of Artists.
The artist’s works are kept in private collections around the world, as well as in the funds of the Yelabuga State Museum-Reserve and the Roerich Estate Museum in Izvara.
Philosophy and Method
Oleg Ildyukov’s creative method is a synthesis of personal experiences and architectural intuition. In his graphics, Petersburg appears not just as a backdrop, but as a living co-author and a “phantom” space where the line between dreams and reality is blurred.
“A dream is a reflection on reality, going through uncontrollable areas of consciousness… The city in my works is both an entourage and a character. We can say that I illustrate myself through its images.”
